May 25-27:
Memorial Day Celebration, Rosa’s At Tower Park, Lodi. All weekend.

May 26:
Opportunity Cruises Lunch Cruise. 11:00-2:30. Upper deck seating only! Cruise includes chicken burrito, potato salad, chips/salsa, and choice of a soda, beer, margarita. Cash bar available (only 20 tickets available) purchase 4 and get your own table

June 8:
Delta Ditch Run. 65-mile race from Richmond to Stockton. Racing, cruising and multihull divisions. (209) 951-5600.

June 21-23:
South Tower Race, Stockton Sailing Club. Race from Stockton to the Golden Gate Bridge – and back! (209) 951-5600.

June 29-30:
Island to Island Race, Andreas Cove YC. Race from Twitchell Island on the San Joaquin River to Angel Island and back.

June 22:
Delta Yacht Club Open House. Free dinner and overnight stay (restrictions apply). Reservations (209) 463-6063.

June 29:

July 4:
Hilton’s Fireworks Extravaganza at Mandeville, San Joaquin River.

July 6 and September 7:
Free Fishing Day! You do not need a license to fish on these days.

July 13:
Delta Chambers Taste of the Delta, Village West Marina, 6649 Embarcadero Drive, Stockton, 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm. A fundraiser for the California Delta Chambers. Guests sample wines, enjoy vendor booths, live music, and auction. Food will be available for purchase from Garlic Brothers, Bob’s at The Marina and The Village West Yacht Club. Featuring the Abba Tribute Band “Waterloo” from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. $35 in advance or $45 at the door (includes souvenir wine glass). Contact Blair Hake, (209) 481-9146.

August 10-11:
Bethel Island Chamber '50s Bash Car & Motorcycle Show. Car and motorcycle show, all day street vendors, music and food. Fun for the whole family. Contact (925) 684-3220.

Scavenger Hunt, Rosa’s At Tower Park, Lodi.

September 21:
Classic Yacht Association Forget Me Knot Memorial Wreath Laying Ceremony on the Sacramento River in Old Sacramento. Parade starts just outside the Sacramento Marina at 12:15. Boats will cruise up to Old Sacramento to lay a wreath, turn around, and return. Potluck in the Sacramento Marina lounge at 7:00 p.m. The United States’ National POW/MIA Recognition Day is observed across the nation on the third Friday of September each year. Many Americans take the time to remember those who were prisoners of war (POW) and those who are missing in action (MIA), and their families.
