2011 Hosts, Prizes, Swag & Swell Deals

The following venues hosted our fleet in 2011:

Berkeley Marina welcomes the fleet with free berthing on the night of July 29.

Berkeley Yacht Club will host our Kickoff Party on the night of July 29. Their bar will be open and they'll be serving dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m., with prices starting at $7.

Vallejo Yacht Club will host us on the night of Saturday, July 30.

Owl Harbor Marina of Isleton will host the fleet on the night of Sunday, July 31.

Our Monday desitination has changed. We'll be going to Sugerbarge Resort and Marina on Bethel Island.

Stockton Sailing Club will once again host the Doo Dah Hoopla Party on Friday, August 5.

Prizes and swag in 2011 included:

BoatU.S. has donated one one-year membership with Unlimited Towing Service by VESSEL ASSIST, plus lanyards for each bag.

Bruno's Island on the Delta Loop has generously donated a gift certificate for one week of free berthing, tent camping, or RV camping.

C&T Publishing of Concord has donated a large, zippered, flat bottom tote bag with a beautiful quilting design, made from durable, 100% recycled polypropylene.

The California Delta Chambers & Visitors Bureau will supply us all with a new edition of their guide book Discover the California Delta, hot off the press.

The California Department of Boating and Waterways has supplied us with new Pumpout Guides for the Bay and Delta.

Delta Marina in Rio Vista has contributed two tokens for free one-night stays in their harbor.

Gabriel Insurance of Benicia is giving us keychain LED flashlights for each swag bag.

International Marine is sending us five copies of The Anti-Pirate Potato Cannon to give away. You can see that one review copy was not enough for the crew at our office.

Latitude 38 has purchased Franko's Maps of the California Delta for each boat.

Lauritzen Yacht Harbor of Oakley, near the Antioch Bridge, is again supplying us with those handy Delta Tidebooks, so that we can predict.

Little Venice Yacht Club of Stockton gave us five one-night stays to raffle off.

OPB-YC has donated a pair of medium-sized sailing gloves for our prize drawing.

Besides throwing us a party, feeding us, and hosting our fleet, Owl Harbor is giving us a prize for our drawing of a two-night stay at their guest dock, and a very cool gift basket. Plus, they're supplying a T-shirt for each of our swag bags!

Pittsburg Marina is very generously sending us two gift certificates for two nights in the marina plus two dinners at Nana's Cafe, which is new at the marina since our visit there last year.

R. Murphy Knives is donating a Small Yachtsman rigging knife and a double-edged Pathfinder 'PATH2S' knife for our prize drawing. These knives have been made in Ayer, Massachusetts, since 1850.

Simply Brilliant, LLC, has donated a SolLight RailLight Mini (their newest light) and a Shockles Line Snubber (now with stainless steel caribiners). They also donated Cap'n Ring bottle openers for the swag bags.

Southbound Solar has donated as olar powered lantern valued at $89 and several solar powered keychain flashlights, and will offer a discount to all Delta Doo Dah boats.

West Marine will again supply us with sturdy and capacious swag bags.
